Go on CL(or regional equivalent.) Search for manual transmission, and Van/mini van. See what you find. This is by far the coolest thing I found.

An uncle of mine had one in a sort of mangy dilapidated green. I think it probably passed away to tinworm not long after he sold it.

Not actually a van, but very interesting. A Formula Ford ! Which is listed on Chicago Craigslist even though it’s located in Washington for ... reasons?
We’ve got not one, but TWO Corvair vans. They’re both rusty crapboxes, I picked the two-tone one as more interesting.

Corvair Vans are so cool, but not as cool as the curb ramp pickups.

Subie Westie, that’s hot, I like the two tone as well. Looks super clean. the price is crazy, but I’m sure some Van nut will pay close to it.

That thing is sweet. This is not quite a van but damn I want it.

Nothing came up for Edmonton or Calgary, so I went with the next closest city. The Lower Mainland (and Vancouver Island) is a mecca for cool JDM stuff.
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rch/ctd/552506…
Not even joking, on Vancouver Island, these vanlets are about as common as Camrys.
Also, Nardi wheel, just for that extra JDM cred.

My dad had one of those just out of highschool as a work vehicle/DD. A friend of his flew through the windshield in a drunk driving accident.

Two cool ones in Chicago!
Falcon Van.

And a 74 Econoline work van.

That is neat. I love the idea of turning an old “bread van” into a camper.

Nice, that would be an awesome overland rig.

If I had kids, that’s probably what I’d drive. tho for two little kids our Fit would do just fine.

Sigh. My town has to have the most boring craigslist listings.

That orange Econoline looks so cool. The old lettering adds something to it.

This is the coolest one I could find that’s actually a manual. I think we’ve reached a low point when people don’t even know what “manual” means, and mark their automatics with that tag.
I’m not sure, though, what state it’s in. He doesn’t go into detail. He says the motor sounds great, but also offers the van without it. People just don’t know how to Craigslist.

After looking inside I can see how that would happen still want it though.

Greetings from Houston:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Note, despite being listed on Houston Craigslist this actually in New Mexico:
https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5515570778.html
Interior looks like a big mess though:
There’s a ‘64 Falcon Van:
https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5496366314.html
There’s a manual Mazda5 as well. I’d rather ditch the manual and just get a Previa though. Just probably not this Previa:

Mine too. Techinically I’m in northern Wi, which has nothing of interest 90% of the time, so i check Duluth, Minneaplis, Eau Claire, and Greenbay/Appleton. If it’s something I really want a 1-5 hour drive is nothing.

“2007 Mazda 5" van in my area that is very cheap:
http://toronto.craigslist.ca/tor/cto/555374…
And using the same Ad, the idiot seller is also selling a Hyundai Accent with a licence plate that doesn’t look like it’s from Canada:
And a Ford Windstar without plates:
Good chance it’s a scam.

Yeah that windsheild is the size of a twin mattress. and there isn’t much dash to keep you in there, so if you’re not wearing a seat belt, you’re gonna fly out.
![]() 04/26/2016 at 14:07 |
|
Did they even make manual Freestars? Also that gen wasn’t called the Windstar in the US. They changed the name to match the Ford Freestyle, that XC70 looking Taurus (which was called the 500 at the time) wagon.
![]() 04/26/2016 at 14:08 |

Don’t see those very often.
Yes, of course it’s manual. I live in a world where every van has three pedals and no spark plugs.
![]() 04/26/2016 at 14:09 |

90% of the search results came back as a Mazda5. When it wasnt that, I got a few VW Westfalias and EuroVans.

The manual is the Mazda 5 van. And yeah... that’s a Freestar... but everyone knows a Freestar is just an updatd Windstar. And yeah, all Windstar/Freestar vans were automatic.

Volvo 240 ambulance . It’s pretty boring to go through all +6000 listings so you might find something interesting there if you want to give it a go .

Well, it’s absurdly overpriced, but nothing beats a 360 Van.

I found this sweet looking JDM diesel Nissan van that doesn’t look like it’s actually got a stick. Still cool, though.
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/552833…
And, a manual Previa, the king of stick shift minivans.
